MUI X Mission
Empower developers of all skill levels to quickly build functional data-rich applications using pre-assembled and highly customizable components that provide both out-of-the-box and custom workflows across multiple design systems.
How do we measure that we are making progress on the mission?
- Pro: We look at the number of dependencies people have. The fewer non-MUI ones, the better we progress.
- Premium: We look at the UI libraries that banks are using to build rich data-intensive apps, they mostly pick MUI. Premium is about the ability to analyze data without leaving the application.
MUI X Vision
Every data-rich application is built with UIs that are intuitive, accessible, and performant.
MUI X Strategic objectives
What are the strategic objectives that lead to our vision?

🔑 - Each of these objectives can have sub-objectives strategic to reach them.
- Each of these objectives should ideally have established KPIs for measurement and success tracking.

1) A continuously growing community around MIT
2) Developers love to use MUI X
3) End-users love to use applications implemented with MUI X components
4) Diverse component portfolio
5) Highest reputation in react ecosystem
Go to market (differentiators)
- Quality of execution.
Why? It’s all that matters in a crowded space. We can take our time, and focus on smaller details.
- Consistency with the core (design, API, customization learning curve)
- Documentation quality (comprehensiveness, simplicity, clarity, etc.)
- React only focus
