Before the event:

[ ] 1. A goal for the hackathon is set: The goal
[ ] 2. We brainstorm ideas for the hackathon. We recommend that everyone contribute to those ideas. This idea should be something that can be significantly developed, if not shipped, in the time frame available during the hackathon.
[ ] 3. We close the brainstorming phase. Each department/person votes on the top hackathon ideas the company should work on
[ ] 4. From that list, each person in the company selects the top project they would like to work on (plus 2 alternatives). Hackathon teams are assigned based on this.
[ ] 5. The final teams are created.

During the event:

[ ] 6. Each hackathon group works on its ideas.
[ ] 7. At the end of the hackathon, each group presents what they built (Demo time)
[ ] 8. We vote for the hackathon awards

The most exciting moment of the event is the presentation at the end. Each team has time to showcase its creations.

The presentation should also describe how the prototype could be finalized to land in production.
